Nestled among the pines in the mountains east of Albuquerque in Moriarty, New Mexico, Dewey and Carolyn make their home and live his dreams.

Dewey Severs’ creates Horseshoe Art Sculptures from old horseshoes, horse nails, washers, wire and other recycled metal pieces, which emerge as detailed stories of Western life. This metal is coaxed, twisted, pounded, turned and smoothed into detailed and intricate shapes – horses, cattle, buffalo, elk, cowboys, Indians, wagons, cacti, trees, and unique home furnishings.

While Dewey works on his Horseshoe Sculptures he also creates cowboy and inspirational poetry that can be enjoyed as a wall hanging mounted in a Western frame or listened to on one of his audio cassettes.
